Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 28, 2026
Last Updated: October 28, 2026
Welcome to AeroTangle Labs ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, interactive flight corridor maps, H3 hexagonal density layers, raw telemetry data feeds, and custom address impact reports (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Services.
1. Informational & Research Use Only (No Operational Aviation Use)
-
Not for Air Navigation: AeroTangle Labs provides aggregated historical and statistical airspace intelligence. The Services are strictly not intended for operational air navigation, flight planning, piloting, air traffic control, collision avoidance, or any safety-critical aeronautical applications.
-
Real Estate & Property Decisions: While our address impact reports and density corridors provide localized historical insights, they do not constitute formal acoustic engineering assessments, real estate appraisals, environmental impact statements, or legal advice. Users must independently verify all airspace metrics prior to executing property acquisitions, financial commitments, or zoning disputes.
2. Data Sourcing, Fidelity, and Limitations
-
Data Sources: Our platform fuses community and proprietary ADS-B receiver telemetry with publicly available FAA data streams (including SWIM and TFMS feeds).
-
Coverage Gaps: Airspace tracking relies on radio-frequency line-of-sight, receiver uptime, aircraft transponder operation, and third-party feed latency. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, continuous, or total airspace coverage. Aircraft flying below terrain masks, non-transponder-equipped aircraft, military operations operating under selective identification, or temporary receiver outages may cause flight track drops or data omissions.
-
Aggregations: Hexagonal spatial density indexing (H3) and corridor models represent algorithmic approximations of flight paths and are provided on a best-effort basis.
3. Accounts and Platform Access
-
Account Responsibility: If you register for an account, you must provide accurate information and safeguard your credentials. You are responsible for all activities occurring under your account.
-
Tier Entitlements: Access to specific layers, historical time spans, altitude filters, and export capabilities is governed by your designated subscription tier (e.g., Free Explorer vs. Pro). We reserve the right to modify tier limits or features with reasonable notice.
4. Acceptable Use & Restrictions
You agree not to use the Services for any unlawful purpose. You strictly agree not to:
-
Automate Data Harvesting: Scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data, map tiles, or API endpoints using automated bots, scripts, or spiders without express written authorization.
-
Reverse Engineer: Decompile, reverse-engineer, inspect, or reconstruct our spatial data ingestion pipelines, H3 aggregation algorithms, or proprietary telemetry processing engines.
-
Infrastructure Abuse: Overburden, flood, or launch denial-of-service attempts against our tile servers, spatial databases, or API infrastructure.
-
Resell or Redistribute: Resell, lease, syndicate, sub-license, or redistribute our map layers, raw ADS-B datasets, or customized property reports to third parties unless explicitly covered under an Enterprise Data Licensing Agreement.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
-
Proprietary Assets: AeroTangle Labs retains all right, title, and interest in and to our proprietary software, website design, spatial visualization layers, H3 data indexing methodologies, logos, and generated PDF report templates.
-
Limited License: Subject to compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view map visualizations and download purchased reports solely for your internal or personal use.
6. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds
-
Billing: Paid map tiers and API services are billed on a recurring subscription basis. Custom Address Impact Reports and raw data extracts are billed as one-time transactional fees.
-
Digital Deliverables & Refunds: Due to the on-demand computational resources required to process flight telemetry and generate address reports, all sales of downloadable reports, raw telemetry data exports, and completed subscription cycles are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
-
Cancellations: You may cancel recurring map subscriptions at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing cycle.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES, MAP LAYERS, TELEMETRY DATA, AND REPORTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AEROTANGLE LABS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR COMPLETELY FREE OF ERRORS OR DROPPED TRACKS.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AEROTANGLE LABS, ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES—INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, PROPERTY VALUE LOSSES, DATA LOSS, OR SYSTEM DOWNTIME—ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO AEROTANGLE LABS FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE IN DISPUTE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100.00).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AeroTangle Labs and its operators from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable legal expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these Terms, misuse of our data, or reliance on reports in high-stakes legal, property, or operational matters.
10. Modifications & Termination
-
Service Changes: We reserve the right to alter, suspend, or discontinue any feature, map dataset, or pricing tier at our discretion.
-
Termination: We may immediately suspend or terminate your account and API access without prior notice if we detect scraping, abusive query volumes, terms violations, or security threats.
-
Term Updates: Continued use of our Services following any posted revisions to these Terms constitutes full acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and the parties hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.
